Thought I'd share something a little more recent. Got this in a newsletter a few days ago:

I know the "people with fibromyalgia are lazy" comments still go around, mostly online or in the media because I'm don't see that many people face to face. But I hope we are finally moving in the right direction with proper research getting closer to discovering the cause.
